Selichos Night Program

The Rabbi Jeremiah Wohlberg Institute for Adult Jewish Studies invites you to attend a Pre-Selichos Evening Lecture-Discussion Program featuring Dr. Charles Selengut on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 9:15 PM.

Dr. Selengut is Professor of Sociology and Religious Studies at Drew University, New Jersey. He is an expert on the sociology, psychology and politics of religious fundamentalism. A widely published author and renowned lecturer, he recently married the former Yetta Marchuck.

Dr. Selengut will speak on Sacred Fury: Jews, Islam and the Rise of Religious Terrorism - an analysis of the developments in contemporary Islam that encourage and legitimate religious violence the world over.

There will be a collation following the program and Selichos Penitential Services at midnight.
