Hon. Ben Greenberger - Scholar-in-Residence

The Rabbi Jeremiah Wohlberg Institute for Adult Jewish Studies presents the Hon. Ben Greenberger Friday Evening, May 1 and Saturday, May 2, 2009, in celebration of Israel's Independence Day.

Judge Greenberger is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Law and received Rabbinic Ordination. He currently serves as Judge in the Jerusalem Family Court while also serving as Rabbi of Congregation Mitzpeh Nevo in Maaleh Adumim. He and his family made Aliyah to Israel in 1983 after he had practiced law in the U.S. and served as High Holy Day Cantor for ten years at Congregation Ohav Sholom.

His schedule of appearances in our Congregation includes:
Friday Evening - May 1 at 8:30 P.M. - "The Current State of Israel's Legal System"
Saturday Morning - May 2 at 10:30 A.M. - "Issues Confronting American Olim to Israel"
Saturday Afternoon - May 2 at 7:00 P.M. - "Halachos (Jewish Legal Principles) Relating to Warfare"
